Single Edge Blades

Single Edge Blades are available in 2 and 3 facet options, carbon and stainless steel, coated and uncoated blades. Our single edge blades are available backless, Aluminum or Steel backed. Also available in Safety dispensers for clean room environments.

Used in various applications where the blade is required to be hand-held. Single-edge blades are often a more rigid carbon steel and much thicker.

They are used in carpentry for detailed work, sanding, and scraping (in a specialized holder), in mechanical drawing for paper cutting, in plumbing and finish work for grouting and cleaning, for removing paint from flat surfaces such as panes of glass (paint scraper), in making reeds for Obo players, and in many other applications.

Single edge blades used for shaving are stainless steel, machine honed for a sharp razor edge.
